Breakaway Farm Advertising
Founded in 2000 by husband and wife Tam Christman and Sarah Pettitt, Breakaway is a family owned and operated farm in Grand Isle, Vermont. Housing a variety of animals including horses, mules, goats, and chickens the Christman-Pettitt’s are dedicated to giving the public an opportunity to “breakaway” from reality.
When I was seven years old I told my mom “I’m gonna be a rancher when I grow up!” As time went on we both had stopped considering that as a possibility. Then I hit college. While studying graphic design I would volunteer my time at Breakaway farm, building on knowledge I already had on equine care. After graduation I was hired as barn manager for the summer. I spent this time living the “farm life” and finding ways to help improve the farms advertising. Armed with intimate knowledge of the owners, animals, and goals of the farm I grabbed my camera and opened Adobe InDesign.
